| Title: | Regarding Senate Bill 328 Keg Registration |
| Other Titles: | Kansas Department of Transportation Legislative Testimony (2001) KDOT Legislative Testimony (2001) Senate Bill 328 Keg Registration SB 328 Keg Registration Keg Registration |
| Authors: | Kansas. Dept. of Transportation Thornburgh, Rosalie Kansas. Legislature. Senate. Committee on Federal and State Affairs |
| Issue Date: | 21-Feb-2001 |
| Description: | Testimony concerning SB 328, which would require retailers to affix an identification number to beer containers, along with registering each sale and certain purchaser information. KDOT supports the concept of keg registration as a strategy to be used in the prevention of underage drinking as it relates to drinking and driving, since it can assist law enforcement officers in determining who may be responsible for allowing youth to obtain alcohol, and provide an intervention that minimizes alcohol availability. |
