Kansas. Legislature. House of Representatives. Committee on Transportation
Issue Date: 19-Feb-2001
Description: Testimony regarding House Bill 2277, which amends K.S.A. 8-126 to include an all-terrain vehicle used for agricultural purposes as an implement of husbandry, by providing for the all-terrain vehicles to operate on federal and state highway right-of-way when used for agricultural purposes along with allowing their operating incidentally upon these same highways. KDOT opposes the incidental operation of these vehicles on the state and federal highways due to their low visibility profile and their inability to maintain normal operating speeds on most highways.
