description"In accordance with the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended, the Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA), as the designated State Unit on Aging, is mandated to submit a “State Plan on Aging” to the U.S. Administration on Aging. This plan describes the agency’s vision and purpose, including the goals and strategies to achieve this vision. Development of this plan was accomplished through continuous collaborative interaction with the state’s Aging Network, including the State Advisory Council, the Silver-Haired Legislature, the Area Agencies on Aging, the Kansas Long-Term Care Ombudsman and other state divisions, and many of the seniors we represent."en
