Description: The Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks (KDWP) has worked with private landowners looking for ways to help make wildlife conservation more affordable. In 2006, KDWP received a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Department of Interior. The grant was for the implementation of a Landowner Incentive Program (LIP). The goal of the LIP was to provide direct technical and financial assistance to private landowners attempting to conserve species and their habitat in Greatest Conservation Need (GCN).
