description"This report has been prepared by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks' Deer Task Force. The 10-member group of KDWP employees was assembled this fall, and was charged with reviewing deerrelated statutes, regulations, permitting processes, and management programs. The task force was asked to recommend changes that would simplify deer-related state statutes and department regulations, maintain or improve hunting opportunities, and protect the deer resource. The group also examined current strategies to control deer numbers, minimize crop damage and vehicle accidents, while considering the long-term biological, social, economical and political impacts of its recommendations."--p.1en
