| Title: | Kansas Woodland Mitigation Guidelines For Small Watershed Structures (2004) |
| Authors: | Kansas. Department of Wildlife and Parks |
| Issue Date: | 22-Dec-2004 |
| Description: | The guidelines provide guidance on how a small watershed project will impact on riparian woodland resources. The use “riparian” will follow the definition in the Kansas River and Stream Corridor Management Guide published by the Kansas State Conservation Commission (2000) as “An area of stream-side vegetation along any ephemeral, intermittent, or perennial stream including the stream bank and adjoining floodplain typically distinguishable from upland areas in terms of vegetation, soils, or topography”. The guidelines provide general directions regarding the mitigation of riparian woodland habitats impacted by watershed structures. |
