The 184th Intelligence Wing of the Kansas Air National Guard is based at McConnell Air Base in Wichita, Kansas. In April 2008, the 184th Air Refueling Wing was designated the 184th Intelligence Wing, making it the first Intelligence Wing in the Air National Guard. With the loss of the flying mission, the "Flying Jayhawks" are now the "Fighting Jayhawks". However, Intelligence is just a portion of what the wing does. The wing maintains the largest Munitions Storage area, the busiest and largest Weapons range in the Air National Guard, and the only Network Operations Security Center within our Wing.
