| Title: | Response to House Bill 2488 |
| Other Titles: | Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services Legislative Testimony (2004) SRS Legislative Testimony (2004) |
| Authors: | Zillinger, Margaret Kansas. Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services Kansas. Legislature. House of Representatives. Social Services Budget Committee |
| Issue Date: | 10-Mar-2004 |
| Description: | "SRS strongly supports the
provisions of H.B. 2488 that would restrict community developmental disability organizations
(CDDOs) from being community service providers, resulting in independent CDDOs
performing the functions of intake, referral, and case management services. SRS opposes the
provisions of HB 2488 that would change the way in which CDDOs are designated and require
consolidation of CDDOs. SRS strongly supports current statutory provisions that are based upon
local designation and control." |
