| Description: | The Committee recommends introduction of a Senate Concurrent Resolution proposing amendment
to Section 1 of Article 10 of the Kansas Constitution. The amendment would eliminate the
requirement that legislative districts be based on adjusted results of the decennial U.S. Census. The Committee also recommends that the Legislative Research Department and Revisor of Statutes staff
proceed with plans to develop a support structure for the Legislature's redistricting effort similar to that provided in 1992. |
